Event by the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV)

On the 21st of March 2011 at Antigone hall and at the foyer of the second floor an event was organized by the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises for the presentation of the "Corporate Governance Code" that was drafted by SEV regarding Listed Companies". Addresses were made by the Minister for Regional Development and Competitiveness Mr. Michalis Chrisochoidis, the President of SEV Mr. Dimitris Daskalopoulos and the Treasurer - Member of the Board of Directors of SEV for issues of Corporate Governance Ms Sophia Efraimoglou.
More specifically Mr. Daskalopoulos characterised Corporate Governance together with corporate social responsibility and their viable development the "three pillars of modern enterprise", while Ms Efraimoglou pointed out that “the adoption of the Corporate Governance Code of SEV adds value to businesses, enhancing their credibility and competitiveness and attracting foreign investors, the basic prerequisites for long term and healthy development, both of themselves and of the financial situation in general.
During the event, a discussion took place entitled “Corporate Governance Codes and "comply - or - explain" in Europe: past, present and future", with distinguished experts from Greece and abroad.
